new work: signature financial website redesign
A new website for Signature Financial, a Thunder Bay-based accounting and professional office services company serving the region and beyond. The redesign is a better reflection the company’s current offerings as well as their current character.
When it was designed, the old site was an appropriate solution for the company, but many things have changed since 2005.
For one, Signature’s offerings have changed; some have been added, some others have been removed. Signature also serves a different kind of client, and its outlook has changed as well. The new design needed to reflect these differences in terms of both content and design. To that end, the site is simpler, warmer, and more sophisticated. Ultimately, the site is far more appropriate.
Things have changed on the web design and development front as well. First, and foremost, the new site is more user friendly, which should be the primary goal of any site. There’s an identity-appropriate use of jQuery for both visual effects and usability, and fonts are sourced via Typekit. And the new site, as with all sites we develop, observes W3C standards. Oh, and a dash of CSS3 for those who care. ;)//
